Suited: Reshuffled

In 2018, we created a one-page RPG over the course of a 16-hour drive from one side of Texas to the other. We wanted to make a game that anyone could pick up and begin playing within minutes, using as few as a single deck of poker cards. Seven years, thousands of games, and plenty of feedback later, we have the game before you today.

Suited: Reshuffled is an updated and rewritten version of the core rules for the Suited. It does not include any new playsets but is playable with the original ones.

Suited is a universal system, designed to run any genre of game your heart may desire.  The core of this universal system is the Playset tables. Each themed Playset is designed to randomly generate characters and adventures from the games, novels, and movies based on the chosen Playset genre. Playset tables are split into two sections: the Character Table and the Adventure Table.

The Character Table allows for the quick creation of a unique character, detailed enough to provide hours of fun. The table consists of genre-appropriate descriptors people would use to describe each other, starting items, and ideas about abilities and skills that characters in that setting are different from regular folk.

The Adventure Table, along with the companion Fill-In-The-Blank, is used to create a randomly generated adventure from the chosen genre setting.  Each Adventure table varies by Playset, but they typically offer ideas for Locations, Villains, Quest Items, and important Folk the players may run into. Some Adventure Tables may also have genre-specific rules beneath them.

By relying on random generation, gaming groups will never find themselves playing the same game or characters twice in a row. This keeps every game fast, fun, and fresh.
